Care Quality Commission to inspect Mid Yorkshire Hospitals and they would like patient views

Care Quality Commission (CQC) to inspect Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (Pinderfields in Wakefield, Dewsbury and District Hospital and Pontefract )

 CQC are the independent regulator of health and social care in England.   As part of their role, they inspect most hospitals about once a year.    CQC will be carrying out an inspection of Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust over 2-3 days from Tuesday 15th July.  The inspection will include reviews of the following areas:

  •  Accident and emergency (A&E)
  • Medical Care (including older people’s care)
  • Surgery
  •  Intensive/critical care
  •  Maternity and family planning
  •  Services for children and young people
  • End of life care
  • Outpatients
  • Community Nursing

The CQC would like you to share your experiences at a Public Listening Event  on Monday 14th July 2014, 6.30pm, York House Hotel, 10 Drury Lane, Wakefield,WF1 2TE.  All are welcome to attend.
