An exciting new project is developing in Kirklees and will be formally launched in two separate events; one in North Kirklees on 23rd March 2012 at Dewsbury Town Hall between 1-3pm and the other on 26th March 2012 in Huddersfield Town Hall between 1-3pm.
This project is open access which means that everyone over age of 14 with a physical/learning disability can come along and try out Bollywood dancing, Indian arts and crafts, and musical instruments including drumming.
Please see the attached flyer for more information.
The launch events are taking place so that people can find out what the project is going to be about – young people aged 14 and over are welcome, there will be activities to take part in, but the day is also for parents and carers to find out what the activities will be and to see if they are suitable for their children (or the young people they care for). There will be ongoing Creative MInds activities in the near future – Manasamitra will gauge the feedback from the open days and decide whether the activities will take place in holidays or regular weekly sessions or both. So try to go along and see what it’s about if you have a child with physical or learning disabilities over 14.
