We know that parents need good quality information to do the best job they can for their children. Part of PCAN’s work is about ensuring local parents and carers know about the activities, services, support and information that can make their life, and that of their family, better.
- PCAN members helped Kirklees Council to create its Local Offer. The Local Offer contains loads of useful information about education, preparing for adulthood, health and social care and includes leisure activities for your child or young person.
- PCAN members helped Kirklees Council to create a single database of all families of children with additional needs in the district. This register will help Kirklees Council to be more aware of the population of children with additional needs in Kirklees and be able to plan services more effectively.
