What is the Access Card?
Information, Evidence, Discounts and Opportunities for Disabled People
The Access Card is a card like no other, we translate your disability / impairment into symbols which highlight the barriers you face and the reasonable adjustments you might need.
This then informs providers quickly and discreetly about the support you need and may gain you access to things like concessionary ticket prices and complex reasonable adjustments without having to go into loads of personal detail.
Its all based on your rights under the Equality Act and providers responsibilities.
All for just £15 for 3 years!

Maxcards – Affordable days out with your child with additional needs and family
Great discounts on days out across the UK
Max Card is a discount card scheme which aims to make days out more affordable for children and young people with additional needs (up to age 25) and their families/carers . It is valid at over 240 venues across the UK and allows entry for up to 2 adults and 2 children. The Max Card lasts two years from date of issue and there are no limitations on who can use the card with your child (i.e. you could bring your child’s friend or carer along). The card belongs to your child, so you need to write their name on the back. It only costs £3 to get a card.
Each venue offers their own personal discounts for Max Card holders. Venues such as Jorvik and Eureka kindly offer Max Card users free entry, whilst others offer concessionary rates. Further information about Max Card and all discounts are clearly stated on the Max Card website www.mymaxcard.co.uk . Have a look and see if this could be useful for your family. PCAN supplies Maxcards to families of children with additional needs in Kirklees.
