The Transition Information Network is looking for disabled young people who want to write an article
The Transition Information Network (TIN) is looking for disabled young people who want to write an article for my future choices magazine.
My future choices is a magazine aimed at disabled young people. It aims to give a voice to disabled young people. It gives disabled young people the chance to show they have the same goals, dreams and aspirations as non-disabled young people.
The magazine was started in 2003 and goes out to over 5,000 people. These people include families, supporters, service providers and professionals.
It is published three times a year and is sent to TIN members or can be read online.
If you would like to write an article, here’s what you have to do:
1. Read the latest issue of my future choices to see the type of articles that we include.
2. E-mail us on tin@ncb.org.uk to say you are interested in writing. In your e-mail to us please say:
• What you would like to write about.
• How many words you think your article will be.
• Most articles are between 250-500 words.
Each issue of the magazine has a theme. The theme of the next issue is being active/healthy living. This means exercising, healthy eating and getting out and about.
Some things you might want to write about:
• Your experience of being part of a sports team.
• What outdoor activities you like to take part in.
• What you do to make sure you stay healthy.
If you don’t want to write about healthy living don’t worry. Your article could still be included in a future issue with a different theme.
If you are interested in writing for us, e-mail us on tin@ncb.org.uk today!
Happy writing!
