Sleep Success workshop is coming to Huddersfield.
The workshop is aimed at both parents and practitioners and will help them to get a better understanding of issues that impact on children’s sleep and what can be done to manage sleep problems more effectively. 40% of children will have a sleep issue at some point in their lives and this figure rises to 86% for children with additional needs.
The workshop is delivered by a qualified and experienced sleep practitioner and has been commissioned by the sleep clinic at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. The day is ideal for any practitioner offering family support. Participants will learn about the importance of sleep, why seep problems occur, how to identify sleep issues and manage them more effectively. They will be introduced to photocopiable resources such as sleep diaries while being made aware of useful products to aid sleep such as weighted blankets for children with sensory issues.
The day runs from 9.30am to 2.30pm on Monday 10th December at the National Children’s Centre, Huddersfield. Parents can book simply by emailing bookings@thechildrenssleepcharity.org.uk and requesting a free place. Places are very limited
