Here at Northorpe Hall we are developing an ASC family project. As part of the core offers to families we are offering the opportunity to be trained as Cygnet practitioners, more information below on the training including training dates.
We are able to offer 3 parent places for any parent interested in becoming a Northorpe Hall volunteer (more info of what is involved below) to support delivering parent information from Northorpe Hall; this will include delivery of the Cygnet programme. The aim will be for you to be part of a team delivering Cygnet on a rolling programme over a year for families living with ASC (including weekends and evenings as well as in the day time through the week). More information will be available as part of the recruitment process of becoming a volunteer. If you are interested please contact Colette Hampson on colette.hampson@northorpehall.co.uk

Chat with the ASC Family worker on what you want and what Northorpe Hall has to offer
Ask that you fill in an application form, this will ask for two referees, if possible to be someone who has known you for two years and is a non-family member
As we seek references we will ask, that you undergo a DBS (disclosure barring service)
Access to Induction, receiving a volunteer handbook and training here at Northorpe Hall, involving confidentiality, boundaries, safeguarding, and disclosures. (This will take about an hour).
Looking at your availability, start dates etc
In return you will benefit from volunteering for an organisation that has a Volunteering Kirklees quality assurance award, regular support and supervision, skills you can include in your CV, meet new people and support parents in Kirklees with your expertise.
Northorpe Hall will also pay any out of pocket expenses in relation to volunteering for any of the projects here.
We look forward to hearing from you
